Weigh of Life Wellness Studio is a full service studio addressing the needs of people suffering with disordered eating symptoms. I personally provide coaching and therapy from my studio on the North Shore in Edgemont Village.
Clinical Therapy
I provide individual, family and group therapy * addressing the symptoms of disordered eating. I practice a multidisciplinary approach and offer only the most researched and supported types of therapeautic approaches, (such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivation Model and Family Based Therapies). The mode of therapy is chosen to match your personal goals and needs.
Nutrition and Exercise Coaching
For those in recovery, I offer nutritional assessment, education, and guidance as well as physical exercise training in my studio. We will work collaboratively to come up with a nutrition and exercise plan that will meet your personal goals and needs. If we discover that your nutritional needs are more complex, Weigh of Life Wellness contracts directly with Shelagh Bouttell R.D., MSc. Nutrition Therapist.

Some extended health plans cover RSW’s. There is no tax on my counseling sessions. Counselling services from Registered Social Workers (RSW's) are HST exempt. As of September 26, 2012 RSW's are authorized as “medical practitioner” under the Income Tax Act for the purpose of claming medical expenses on income tax returns.
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are charged a $60 fee.
